Lake Observer can be used to enter data for the Secchi Dip-In

The 26th year of North American Lake Management Society (NALMS) Secchi Dip-In event is underway again in 2019. The Lake Observer app team is working closely with NALMS and the Oklahoma Water Resources Board on a project to upgrade the Dip-In database, and when completed, event participants will be able to enter data via the NALMS website or the Lake Observer app. Dip-In data will then be submitted to the USEPA's Water Quality Exchange (WQX) and the Water Quality Portal (WQP).

For the Lake Observer mobile app, users now have two ways to enter Dip-In data via one of the mobile apps (Android and iOS versions available) or a new web-based data entry form. We appreciate feedback to help improve the app or report bugs: https://www.lakeobserver.org/contact-us.

While the main focus of the Secchi Dip-In event is during Lakes Appreciation Month in July, observations from throughout the year will be accepted. For more information about the Secchi Dip-In, visit the event website: https://www.nalms.org/secchidipin/.
